How to test for reverse polarity

If the wires of an outlet are reverse there is the possibility that the electrical current may damage appliances and electrical motors. Sometimes wires get crossed and you encounter reverse polarity , which can damage your electrical appliances. Reverse polarity” is the term used to describe this situation.
