I was attempting to try to repair my year old doerr electric motor on my year old craftsman air compressor. The shut off switch ( limit switch ) failed and the air compressor ran and ran and was smoking. There is some charring of some insulation on the inside but it does not look bad. Still having trouble as follows: If the tank is empty, everything starts and runs normally until the pressure switch turn the motor off.
If you know or even have the slightest idea of the year of this unit please tell me.
