An angle that measures more than 180 degrees

What do you call an angle that is greater than 1degrees ? Question for Measuring angles in degrees. Reflex angles are angles measuring greater than 1degrees and less than 3degrees. Learn the different types of angles , classified by their size and shape.

Types of angles are discussed here according to their degree measure.

DOQ shown in the above figure is an obtuse .

Thus, it is between degrees and 1degrees. The following is an obtuse angle. Classification of angles on the basis of their degree measures are given below: Acute angle : An angle whose measure is more than 0° but less than 90° is called . In the adjoining figure, ∠ XYZ . This is an acute angle because its measure is less than degrees. Make an obtuse angle using the black points.

Choose one of the points as the vertex and make the rays go through the other two points. Obtuse angles measure more than degrees. The angle should also be less than 1degrees.

So you could think of it several ways . If two lines form an angle greater than 180°, they also form one less than 180°. This angle here is clearly more than degrees. However, in many geometrical situations it is obvious from context that the positive angle less than or equal to 1degrees is meant, and no ambiguity arises.

An ACUTE ANGLE is one whose measure is LESS THAN DEGREES. Notice ABC does not quite reach degrees. An OBTUSE ANGLE is one whose measure is GREATER THAN AND LESS THAN 1DEGREES.

Angles Greater than 3Degrees. If your angle is greater than 1(which he alludes to at 3:44) then you could measure the opposite, smaller angle with your protractor. This will not give you the right answer, but if you subtract it from 36 it will give you the correct number of degrees.

And when you have two angles that add up to 1degrees , we call them supplementary. And then if you add up to 1degrees , you have supplementary. The point at which the roads diverge is the vertex. Note: Did you know that there are different kinds of angles ? Knowing how to identify these angles is an important part of solving many problems involving angles.

Check out this tutorial and learn about the different kinds of angles ! Sometimes revolutionary discoveries are nothing more than actually seeing what has been under our noses all the time. Some angles have special names! Here they are: When the line gets back to its start point that is 3degrees. An introduction to angles which covers naming angles , angle size, measuring angles and types of angles.

There are many special relationships that can be formed using angles. There is an easy way to try and remember these using the first letters of each word.
